Breast cancer - cause, symptoms and treatment

Breast cancer is a malignant (cancerous) proliferation that begins in the breast tissue. Over the lifetime, one in eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast cancer is a cancer of the breast cancer and it can occur in both women and men. Breast cancer may be one of the oldest carcinomas in humans. Worldwide, breast cancer is the fifth most common in lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, and colon cancer. Breast cancer kills more women in the United States than any other cancer than lung cancer. Today, breast cancer, like other forms of cancer, is thought to be the result of DNA damage. How this mechanism occurs is due to several known or hypothesized factors such as exposure to ionizing radiation or virus mutagenesis. Several factors result in an increase in mutation (exposure to estrogen) and a decrease in repair (BRCA1, BRCA2 and p53) genes. Alcohol appears to increase the risk of breast cancer in general.

Breast cancer can occur in men, but rarely. Experts predict that 178,000 women and 2,000 men will develop breast cancer in the United States. There are several types of breast cancer. First of all, ductal carcinoma begins in cells covering the duct, bringing milk into the duct, occupying more than 75% of breast cancers. Second, small leaf cancer begins with lactating secretory glands, but in other respects its behavior is quite similar to ductal carcinoma. Other variants of breast cancer can result from skin, fat, connective tissue, and other cells present in the breast. Some women have what is known as HER2 positive breast cancer. HER2 stands for human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 and is a gene that helps control the proliferation, division and repair of cells. If there are too many copies of this gene in the cell, the proliferation of the cells will be faster.

Causes of breast cancer

Merely being a woman is the main risk of breast cancer. Men are also affected by this disease, but women are about 100 times more male. As women get older, the chances of becoming breast cancer increase. About 80% of breast cancer is found in women over 50 years old. Approximately 5% to 10% of breast cancers are associated with a specific gene change (mutation). The most common gene changes are those of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. The risk of breast cancer is higher for women with relatives who are suffering from this disease. Relatives belong to either a mother or a father's family. A woman with cancer in one breast is more likely to develop new cancer in another breast or another part of the same breast. This is different from the first cancer that comes back Many experts believe that this is mainly because tumor growth is fast. Asian, Hispanic and American Indian ladies have a lower risk of breast cancer. Certain types of abnormal biopsy results can be associated with a slightly higher risk of breast cancer. In the early stage of radiation therapy to the chest (as treatment of other cancers)

A pregnant woman was considered to lower the possibility of losing a baby, so DES (diethylstilbestrol) was administered as a medicine. Recent studies have shown that these women (and daughters exposed to DES while in utero) are slightly more likely to become breast cancer. The use of alcohol is clearly associated with a slight increase in the risk of breast cancer. The risk of a woman who drinks one drink a day is very low. People who drink 2 to 5 drinks every day are about 1.5 times the risk of women who do not drink alcohol. Too much overweight increases the risk of breast cancer. Especially for women who have changed their lives and when weight gain occurs in adulthood, the risk of breast cancer is high. Also, if extra fat is in the lumbar, the risk seems high. Breastfeeding and pregnancy: In some studies, breast feeding has been shown to decrease breast cancer risk slightly, especially if lactation lasting 1 1/2 to 2 years lasts. As with pregnancy breastfeeding may be due to reducing the total number of women's menstrual periods. The risk of breast cancer among people who came early (before 12 years of age) and women who experienced a change in life (menopause) after the age of 55 has increased slightly.
